Day 72 – Sunday 23rd March
2014 – At Sea
Spent a very
quiet morning; after yesterday’s activities.
The early
afternoon was spent at choir practice, today we should have carried out our
performance, but the choir master decided we were not quite ready for it, and
we all agreed.
The weather
may be calm and sunny but it is still cold, and we are heading on a southerly
course.
There was no
promotional cocktail today, so we contented ourselves with our usual dark rum
and coke. Dinner consisted of parsnip
soup/salad/shrimps/soufflé, and all a delight.
The theatre
show was given by Pingxin Xu, a Chinese virtuoso dulcimer player; unique
musical instrument, which I had never heard played before. I was very impressed by the performance and I bought the CD.
Early to
bed, as a big day tomorrow; arrive in Shanghai.
